Joanna Lu: Through everything that has been happening with the school year, you pretty much know everything with what I have been up to. You know what pisses me off, you know hella embarrassing moments, you basically know a part of me that I don't like to admit is who I am. Make sense? Probably not, but you know what I'm sayinn. Haha, I hella appreciate you being here and there always making sure I'm keeping up with myself, school, and basically my life in general and all the obstacles. When I know I can tell you everything serious that is going on with me or my family or when you're able to tell me things that is bothering you, it reminds me how real our friendship has become since that day you added me on MySpace after meeting me at the Streetfest in 7th grade, lol ahem stalker. But you know I'm here to listen to you complain about you know what and you know who at any given time, haha jks, sortof. But i know you know, cause you be texting me long stories everyday telling me about your day and what-not. I can just basically be myself and say hella shit without thinking and then we're just cracking up about it later. I'm not afraid to sock the shit out of you because I know you're just going to say that I'm weak with your steroid induced self, lol. Especially at a streeful time like this with college things, and college things, and college things. Plus stress and horrible load of senioritis, you hella got me. AND you can still deal with
my complaints and my ongoing rants about how much I hate everything. Lol. You peel oranges and "feed" it to me, and I'll try to force an M&M into your mouth. I tell you to shut up and you talk even more & vice versa, HAHA! Yeaaaas, that sums it up. Gee, I still can't fathom how I was able to survive this year with 5 classes with you ... let alone like 6 years of friendship and endless amounts of stories and laughter and HELLA STORIES together. I recall watching those tv shows with the bestfriends and wondering who mine will be, guess I found that friendship!
Definitely a lifetime friendship.
Thomas Sin, my boyfriend of 16 months. This is as real as it can get. And what more can I ask? I'd like to get off on how it's so easy to be so blunt to you and express my feelings of hatred towards you, which makes me fall so much for you. You can make me laugh until there's no laughter coming out, you give me an open space to just talk endless amounts of nonsense daily, you're able to deal with the most complicated things I have to throw at you, and all the while, you're able to continue being the guy that I have grown to fall in love with. Although I admit that I did not
love you when you asked me out, I know that at this moment in time, I cannot doubt that I don't love you now. Over the course of the relationship, you have in fact,
proven to me that you will do
anything for me, that it is
insane. Remember when I left my phone in the school's bathroom after school and it was
pouring rain, we were already down the block in the car when you ran all the way up back to school and went into the girl's bathroom just to retrieve it for me? Remember when I was waiting at the busstop at like 9pm and it was getting so dark, and there were so many men trying to talk to me, and you ran all 15 blocks just to be with me because you didn't want to wait for the bus. Remember when you got me so mad that I ran to the BART to go home, and you, in a panic, paid $10 for a BART ticket just to run after me? Remember when you would want to be with me so late at night that your ride home had already fallen asleep, and you would tell me not to worry, you'd just run home (or bike), at 2am? Even Ms. Dellefield told me that she knows you would do anything for me, and my dad told me to stop acting like such a princess around you, haha. My mom even know you would do anything for me. But most importantly, I know you would. Like every relationship, there have been rough moments. But ours only lasted so long. With every argument we had, we both knew that we had to learn to understand and listen to each other even more. And now that path has brought us to the amazing standing place we are at right now. Just thinking about how silly you are is making me smile. You're like my stressball, I can cuss, yell, & bite you, but in the end, you're more appreciated than I can express - can't do without you. When we can just lay there and talk about anything in the world; the time just stops. Our personalities cannot be any more different and that is what makes it so great. I love it, I love
you.
Mom: If there was anything I ever wanted to be when I grew up, it has
got to be like my mom. I cannot have asked her to raise me any other way. My mom is literally the sister I have always wanted. On the days we are bored with our wardrobes, we just walk into eachother's closets and grab whatever. Now, I think I'm able to fit into her shoes, too! My mom, I don't know how she has been able to deal with my attitude. I have given her so much over the years, although it has been decreasing. I know I have growing up, and we have always spent so much time together in the past but I don't ever want to grow apart. Being class president would not be possible without the help of my mom, and everyone knows that, even ms. d. She would go to work late or get off work early just to get something that I need, she has spend a lot of money on materials that I realized I also needed to for things like homecoming. I should be way more appreciative than I feel like I already am, and she is mainly my main motivation to be successful in life, I want to reassure my mom that it is because of her, than I am able to achieve so much. When I grow up, I am going to raise my children the way she has raised me. To focus on being a parent, but knowing that I would do
anything in the world for my children because I know she has struggled through so much on being a young mom and having to support the fam at the same time. I remember I would wake up in the middle of night during elementary years and just cry because I hated school so much, she ended up going to the school and stayed with me throughout the day and just fix what I didn't like whether it was some kids that were messing with me or the teachers I thought didn't like me. My mom would also buy me anything I wanted, even if it was something so materialistic, so I could be happy ... She lets me do a lot of things that parents wouldn't usually allow their kids to do like hang out super late and be sure to stay awake so she can bring me home, or even let me get whatever piercings or tattoos I wanted as long as it wasn't stupid.
Anything, my mom would do
anything to be sure that I was happy. I don't want to go to college so far now, I'm going to miss my mom. We travel everywhere together, we shop together, I tell her what's going on with school all the time with teachers, or even my friends. I don't like staying in my room because I love being in the kitchen with her company. It's such a compliment when people tell me I am a lot like my mom because she is by far the epitome of a role model. I told Thomas, I wonder how it would be to meet someone that was exactly like me, and he said "You go home to one every day" ... my mom <3
